Mission Statement

A place to come together with fellow freelancers and team up to work on projects that otherwise would be hard to complete alone. Here you can expand your network and find parters for projects, regardless of size, and form long-lasting teams to complete future projects.

We offer you the ability to create your own portfolio and profile, to show off what you've done before and what skills can be paired up with others.

There are virtually no limits to what projects you will find here; everything from simple design-mock ups for a homepage to building advanced frameworks for a multitude of sites. There are many commercial and volunteer clients posting projects, and anything you participate in will give you credit both on this site and in the community.

A Quick Update

Congratulations to us! :)

  • Redmine is up and running! Please check it at redmine.openwebsiteproject.org. Task and other organizational things can be easily managed there. Suggestions about adding relevan plugins / organizing are welcomed!
  • Email server is also up and running, and you can have your email with @openwebsiteproject.org suffix. This was a great idea by OleVik, and it's implemented. although It took a while to set up, since Postfix configuration can be tedious in Linux.
  • Next: design of the website to be developed. New domain name is being worked out.

First update of the progress

Hello everyone, It's now about ten days since this website first appeared online. We have now a small core team of members from around the globe, and we're really passionate about what we're doing!  Currently we're defining our mission, goals, whilst developing this website, which is gonna be the first stage out of two on the way to the main idea implementation.  The progress so far is as follows:

Important notes, please read!

Hi guys, I set up the Polls and the Wiki functionality. Core team members can now modify almost any content type, and compare the revisions changes. Please make sure that when you submit your editing, the revision information tab on the bottom the "Create new revision" checkbox is set. Also, some code is not in it's full stability, please tell me if something breaks in the middle. But most of the time it should be o.k. Happy brainstorming! :)
